2011 Sweden Images ![]() SEABA ART HOP
SEABA Thanks to SEABA, the South End Arts + Business Association, for exhibiting my photographs at SEABA Headquarters at 180 Flynn Avenue in Burlington, Vermont. This is my third year exhibiting here. This year's exhibition is titled "Sweden Images", scenes from Sweden. Now in its 19th year, the SEABA Art Hop is the largest festival of visual arts in Vermont with over 500 artists exhibiting their works at over 100 locations in the south end of Burlington, Vermont. The SEABA Art Hop is a two-day event occurring on the weekend following the Labor Day holiday. It attracts over 30,000 visitors, the majority from outside Burlington. Visitors are attracted to the South End artist’s studios, and local businesses that are refit as art galleries and exhibition sites for the more than 500 participating artists. The event celebrates the unique characteristics of the Pine Street corridor, in particular the development of concentrated creative and artistic activity that has been established in numerous re-purposed factories and warehouses within the District. 2010 Sweden: Going Home ![]() STERLING COLLEGE
The Brown Library Sterling College I am excited to bring "Sweden: Going Home", my newest exhibition, to the Art Gallery within Sterling College's Brown Library. "Sweden: Going Home" is a multi-media exhibition created from images and art taken from 6 weeks spent in Sweden in 2008. This exhibition reflects my Swedish ancestry through color and black and white photographs along with Swedish and English text. This will be this exhibition's first showing. This exhibit includes 12 framed images measuring 16"x20" and 12 framed images measuring 11"x14". In addition there are 14 framed postcards which I designed that tell the story of my Swedish ancestry and how I discovered my Swedish roots while travelling the length of Sweden over a 6-week stay in 2008. Thanks to Barbara Morrow and Petra Vogel for inviting me to show my work here. If you are near Sterling College from September 21 to October 29, please stop in to see my photos.
